Cancellation policy

We require two weeks written (or email) notice if you have to cancel and your
deposit (if one was required) will be refunded less a 30€ cancellation charge per
room. No deposits will be refunded after the two-week notice period but can be
used for a future booking. Cancellations within 48 hours of expected arrival re-
quire full payment for all the rooms booked.

Terms and conditions

Payment Terms:
Prices per room are quoted based on type of room rented and are quoted on a per night basis. Payment is expected to be paid prior to departure.  We accept European Credit Cards howeever If a manual booking was done, cash payment in Euros would be required. If using other channel managers to book your reservation (Such as Bookings.com), they usually have the ability to process credit cards.

For larger bookings or longer lengths of stay, we reserve the right to ask for a deposit to be paid..

While we are not big fans of “rules and regulations,” we realize that in owning a business, some guidelines have to be laid down in writing for mutual understanding. We feel our policies are fair and similar to what you would find in most reputable Hotels/B&Bs. We simply wish you to respect them for the safety and comfort of yourselves, other guests, and your hosts.

Check in & check out:
Check in is usually from 2:30pm until 8pm but bags may be dropped off earlier for your convenience. Please let us know your arrival time so that we can be here to greet you, especially if you are having a late arrival. Please contact us with your estimated arrival time if driving, or flight details. Check out time is 11am.

Smoking policy:
Our whole house is a non-smoking area apart from the balconies and the terrace. This includes candles, incense or any other open flames as our smoke detectors are very sensitive. Guests ignoring this policy could be evicted without refund and liable to a 200€ cleaning/loss of use fee.

Cancellation Policy:

Parking Policy:
We have 16 parking bays available for our guests for their regular-sized vehicles or motorcycles. Hotel Moselschild will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur to your vehicle while parked in our premises.

Pets Policy:
Although we love animals, for the comfort of guests who may suffer from pet allergies and for potential damage that may be done to bedding, we are very sorry, but we cannot allow pets into any of the guest rooms or shared guest facilities. Guests ignoring this policy could be evicted without refund and liable to a 200€ cleaning/loss of use fee.

Children under 16:
We do not currently have amenities available to accommodate infants and small children. For the comfort of our other guests, we can only welcome children 16 years of age and older that are well behaved. Sorry!


Guest Valuables:
Guests are liable for the safekeeping of their valuables. 


Damages Policy:
We take great pride in offering our guests a clean, comfortable and relaxing place to stay, one where we hope you may feel at home. We have thoroughly inspected each room prior to guests checking in. We expect you to respect the condition of our property and belongings that we offer for your use and enjoyment, and to take reasonable care with them. Any damage must be reported to management immediately, so we can clean up to save you from potential harm and further potential damage to our property.  We expect the condition of the rooms, our property and items to be in as good condition as when you checked in. For any damage found beyond usual and expected reasonable use, monetary reparation will be levied, up to the full cost of replacement of the item(s).

Other important policies:
Hotel Moselschild is privately owned and owner-occupied. We reserve the right to refuse service and/or accommodations to anyone whose behavior affects the safety or peaceful enjoyment of other guests and could result in eviction without refund. Additional persons not specifically named in the reservation are not allowed to stay on the premises. Visitors, when accompanied by registered guests, are allowed on the premises between 10am and 10pm with prior permission of owners. The visitors are welcome in the common areas, not the bedrooms. Management reserves the right to limit the number of visitors. Guests are responsible for the behavior and actions of their visitors. "Quiet Time" is from 11PM to 7AM so guests that wish to retire early may have a peaceful night’s sleep.

All rooms have TV and wireless internet, a fan and hair dryer. Fresh linen and towels are provided in the rooms upon check-in. For guests staying longer than 2 nights, we change the linen and provide fresh towels on the third day, unless specifically requested. We do room cleaning and freshening daily. We do not encourage eating food in the guest rooms (except for The Apartment which has a kitchenette). You may dine in the covered terrace area, or if available. Continental breakfast is included in the price of the room (unless otherwise specifically agreed in advance) and is served between 8:30am-10:30am; an earlier breakfast start can be arranged, with prior advance notice. Our kitchen is off limits for guests’ use.

Local wines and beer, bottled water and sodas may be purchased on site (strictly for registered guests only).

We serve a traditional German Continental breakfast. Should you have special dietary requirements or preferences, please speak with the Team upon check in to see how we can make accommodation for your needs. Our kitchen does handle foods that some individuals are allergic to such as wheat, nuts, dairy products, etc. 

We offer additional guest services in our Lounge with comfort seating available should the guests wish to overlooks the Mosel and has two separate comfort seating areas so guests can chat, mingle or read, and another area has a table and chairs suitable for playing cards or board games. Some reading material is also available in this area. The Lounge area is open from 5PM-11PM (but can be opened earlier should there be need, just ask us!)

Our Restaurant can be made available for party or special event facilities. We can offer catering and decorating, or the facility may simply be rented for your occasion. Please contact us to discuss this option.
